Welcome to NBA Google Pixel Arena.
From Saturday April 16, you are invited to a new Immersive 3D Environment in the NBA app. The Pixel Arena which will allow fans to engage with the 2022 NBA Playoffs in a personalized and informative way. In the NBA app, fans will be transported through their phone screen into an immersive digital arena, which, to begin with, will focus on the longest break of every playoff game: halftime. Fans who visit the Pixel Arena at halftime will be introduced to a number of unique features, including avatar customization, immersive first half recaps and post-match scores, trivia and more Again!
Fans will have so much to look forward to in Pixel Arena, including some of these special features listed below.
Personalize:
- Fans will be able to create a custom avatar to represent their digital identity.
Inform:
- The virtual jumbotron will feature match, scores and trivia information.
- The court below the jumbotron will show data visualizations, such as animated shot charts, key players or moments.
Engage:
- Trivia will allow fans to test their knowledge of pre-game moments in NBA history and their knowledge of first half events informed by live stats during the half. As users accumulate points through their participation in quizzes, they will be able to unlock new accessories for their avatar.
