These Varois offer you ready-to-drink cocktails at home

Do you come home from a day’s work, fall on the couch and sip a cocktail that’s already been prepared? With Pompette Cocktails, launched last July in Saint-Raphaël, there is no longer a need to go to the local bar… Tom Guillermin and Lionel Carletti, two long-time friends, hand-craft bottled cocktails ready for to be served.

Alongside this project, the two 30 people work at the restaurant L’Épuisette in Saint-Raphaël, of which Tom is the manager. “Initially, I wanted to make cocktails in bottles to make them available to customers. That’s when Tom told me we could push the project forward,” says mixologist Lionel, who already has several awards, including first place at the Campari Bartender Competition. “We are very complementary. Lionel takes care of the design of the cocktails and I take care of all the management,” continues his partner.

the taste of the world

Negroni, Pina Colada Punch, Ptit Biscuit, Lily Wang… Pompette Cocktails offers a dozen mixes ranging from revisited classics to Lionel’s personal creations. “I am inspired by the cuisine of the world. There are cocktails that will represent Italy, France, the United States…”, says Lionel. Thus Pina Colada Punch is reminiscent of Puerto Rico with its taste of coconut and pineapple, while Biografen refers to the United States. Inside is an American whiskey combined with popcorn syrup. Or Ptit Biscuit which represents France. “We use Cachaça alcohol, a cousin of rum, with butter crackers, hazelnut to highlight the pastry and a bit of banana to give a fruity taste. »

Here, cocktails are poured into 10 cl bottles, which corresponds to a glass. They are then sold only on their website in packs of three, six or twelve.

To taste these drinks with bitter, fruity or even exotic flavors, the mixology pro recommends using old-fashioned glasses and filling them to the brim with ice cubes. “You don’t have to put only two ice cubes. Why? Because, in addition to refreshing the drink, the ice cubes bring a dilution to the cocktail. And this is very important for the taste. » Leave for 30 seconds or stir with a spoon. “No need to to add another!”. “There we are only at the beginning of the adventure, says Tom, we would like to offer our cocktails in hotel minibars and why not in airlines”.
