This Tuesday, during Mageli’s trade union committee, a first step was taken: the building housing Studios Paradis was taken out of the public domain to enter the mixed union’s private heritage. The discussion was unanimously adopted. Objective: to reclaim the site and clear the way. The furniture and part of the displayed decoration will be disassembled and stored, for a monthly rent of 1,845 euros exclusive of VAT paid to the company Futuralliance, an operation also agreed on Tuesday.

“The idea is to allow the comic festival’s young district to extend over an additional 2000 m²”, emphasizes Philippe Bouty. The space will be made available to the organizers from the fiftieth edition, next January.

Another number: the one worn by producer Valérie Schermann, presented to the committee on November 2, 2021 and then on April 11. She wants to create one “place for digitally drawn art, including various spaces with immersive cultural content, places of life (children’s area, cafe, shop, afterwork and event venue) and spaces with a pedagogical dimension (image education workshops, creative workshops)”according to the union committee’s information report.

Regardless of whether this project sees the light of day or not, all decorations must be removed, assures Philippe Bouty. “It’s time to open a new page. Maybe the place will become a future cartoon palace”.
