Sony wants two million PSVR2 headsets ready by March 2023.

sony expects two million units of its new virtual reality (VR) headset to be ready. PlayStation VR 2 March next year, as part of the company’s plans to launch the device in early 2023.

However, the goal is to have two million units produced by March 2023, in line with Sony’s more ambitious plans for this second generation, which will not support video games from PlayStation’s first VR viewer.

The new headset has “much more advanced features” than those offered by PS VR, “like an all-new controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, inside-out tracking, eye tracking, 3D audio and 4K HDR”, as well as having already previewed by Senior Vice President of Platform Experience Hideaki Nishino.
