Insurance: new headquarters for April at the end of 2024

The last link that still united April to Rousset family will disappear at the end of 2024. The teams from the Lyon group installed in the building Aprilium to By God for fifteen years, property ofEvolem, the investment fund Rousset, is preparing to move. A decision that is part of the in-depth transformation ofApril after its acquisition by CVC Capital Partners and the arrival of a new boss at the head of the Lyon company, Eric Maumy, in September 20219.

Remote work available for 90% of teams

April remains in the Part-Dieu district but will be installed rue Juliette-Recamier in a building belonging to it Icade, completely renovated and designed to meet April’s expectations in terms of quality of life for teams, collaboration and environmental commitments. This future head office, open to the city, will be equipped with a roof terrace of 1,500 m2, with a panoramic view of Lyon. The spaces will be sized to accommodate all Lyon teams, employees from other French and international locations passing through, as well as the group’s partners and customers, particularly within its digital hub. “At the heart of our project, our 2,300 employees form a collective committed to serving our customers and our partners. Together, we pursue the ambition to write a new page in April’s long history, by reinventing our organizational model and our workspace today with the group’s new headquarters and by asserting ourselves a little more as a company that takes care of the future of its customers and employees”, clarifies Erik Maumy (pictured), group chairman April.

The company, which specializes in the insurance sector, has implemented a telecommuting agreement that is available to 90% of its teams. April’s future headquarters was designed around the acceleration of the group’s digitization. It is accompanied by a system to support the transition of managers and teams towards this new hybrid organization from April, with the rollout of IT equipment adapted to the comfort of employees at home and the security of the data they process.

Bought Magnacarta

Leader in wholesale brokerage in France with a network of 15,000 partner brokers, April achieved €544 million in revenue in 2021 with 2,300 employees and a presence in 16 countries. The activity was maintained in the first half of 2022. April bought at the beginning of the summer magnacarta, specialized in advice on wealth management (20 employees) working with a network of 200 independent wealth management advisors. Magnacarta has 20,000 customers and has 2.5 billion euros in assets under management. Or else, April intend to surf the entry into force of Lemoine’s law borrower insurance, its historical core business, with the option now for borrowers to turn to whomever they want for their credit insurance, an activity that until now has been mainly monopolized by banks.
