Google just announced that they plan to integrate Microsoft 365 with ChromeOS in 2023. This will make it easier for users to install office suite applications. OneDrive will also be more closely integrated with ChromeOS this year.
Currently, Microsoft 365 office suite apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote and Outlook are supported on ChromeOS as web apps. OS users cannot actually install them as desktop apps on their Chromebooks. Nevertheless, Google has just announced that Microsoft 365 will be added to ChromeOS this year. OneDrive will also be more closely integrated into the operating system.
The integration of Microsoft 365 and OneDrive with ChromeOS is very good news for users. They will thus be able to do that easier to install applications, but that’s not all. They will also be able to open their files more easily and, in particular, transfer the files stored on their computer to the OneDrive cloud.
