Google has just announced the shutdown next September of Google Optimize, its A/B testing and website user experience optimization solution. A tool that is highly appreciated by its users…
It wasn’t the best known of Google’s tools, but certainly one of the most appreciated by those who used it. Perhaps it was this relative anonymity that killed him? Still, Google Optimize won’t survive 2023. In fact, Google announced this week: “ Google Optimize and Optimize 360 will no longer be available after September 30, 2023. Ongoing testing may continue until this date. All those still active on that date will cease. »
The reason for this stop? Google explains in its press release: Although a long-standing product, Optimize lacks many of the services and features that our customers demand and require to complete their testing. We have therefore decided to invest in solutions that will be more effective for our customers. The product would therefore not have been able to evolve with time and user requirements.
Google Optimize was launched more than five years ago to allow online businesses to test and improve the user experience of their website through A/B testing. Google explains that some functions of this type remain available on Google Analytics 4.
It therefore joins the (very) long list of Google services buried in the graveyard of products killed by Google. Google Optimize RIPs.
