The Christmas festivities are fast approaching, and the county town is once again getting ready to bring life to the streets of Fux. The Merchants’ Association has just opened its advent calendar and has made several events in the coming days.
Around sixty retailers are participating this year in the events that will light up the streets of Fux. On 17, 18 and 19 December, the county’s music school gives concerts in the shopping streets.
Friday 23 December from From 21 to 24 December, Santa Claus also strolls through the streets of Fux and presents the various shops. This animation at the microphone will be followed by the traditional photo session with the children. A roasted chestnut merchant will also be located in a different street each day.
In terms of decoration, the merchant association will hang spruce branches on the city’s red railing accompanied by red, green and white bows to remind of the colors of Christmas. An initiative in collaboration with students from the Jean Durroux Vocational High School and the social and educational association, Les Francas de Foix, which welcomes children from 3 to 12 years old.
Since this Thursday, December 1, the merchant association has launched its advent calendar with the famous Christmas window, located at 3 rue des Marchands. Every day until December 24, for any purchase in partner stores, participants will be able to drop off a ballot with their name in the dedicated mailbox, and after a draw every evening at 19.00 win a multitude of gifts. Decoration, gift baskets, beauty products or new experiences. These prizes, which are renewed every day, are displayed directly in the Christmas window, as is the name of the day’s winner, but also on the Facebook page dedicated to the Fuxéennes celebrations.
