Marie-Pier Lefebvre took a new step in his career. La Barreau 2009 chose to return to KSA, avocats + notaires where she began her practice in business law and where she developed expertise in mergers, acquisitions and corporate reorganizations.

“It’s a firm with which I share the same values, in particular integrity,” she confides in an interview with Droit-Inc. She adds that she is happy to work for a firm with recognized expertise, with colleagues she already knew.

The lawyer also did her homework before making her decision. “KSA advocates a better work-family balance and that makes things easier for the mother that I am,” she says.

In office since April 11, Me Lefebvre quickly adapted to her new responsibilities. “It’s going really well! I had no trouble diving back into the bath. It must be said that I have not lost my reflexes working in private companies. »

Marie-Pier Lefebvre has indeed spent nearly four years at Kaleido Croissance (formerly Universitas), then five years for the mutual insurance company Beneva. There, she advised the management of each organization on strategic projects and was involved in numerous partnerships and commercial contracts.

“I also developed a specialization in the protection of personal information, which is a crucial issue for such companies that collect highly sensitive information,” notes Me Lefebvre.

She believes that these experiences allowed her to acquire a business vision that she now puts to the service of her clients. The lawyer also notes that her career path is quite unusual. “It’s rare for lawyers to leave the private sector to go to a law firm. Usually it is the reverse course. »

His time in business also allowed him to see how things are going internally. “Now that I am back in practice, I can better help my clients. »
